The Mill House, Thorpe St Andrew

Ah, the old Mill House. Had been shut since March '09, reopened sometime in November. Very nice and open planned, had a pool table and fruities which i had a nice win on :) Me and the wife had a meal, two steak meals which cost 10! Worth every penny paid for them, the steaks were cooked to perfection. The landlady herself had cooked our meals, she came and had a chat with us once we had finished, a very friendly woman from London. Her son was also the bar manager, it was nice to see a family ran pub again. Beer was cheap aswell, I paid 2.60 for a pint of Foster's!! Definatley going back, they make you feel so welcome

Sir Garnet Wolseley, Norwich

Went in there for a few pints while the wife was out shopping, because we noticed the 'husband creche' sign out on the walk. Looks small from the outside, but has two seating areas inside and was quite cozy. I drank Adnams Broadside, which was a lovely pint. Chap behind the bar was nice and friendly and said the pub was up for sale as the brewery wanted to sell it, which is a pity. Nice atmosphere in there, the people seemed nice and chatty. Ill be going back there again next time I'm in the city. Very nice pub :)
