The Star, Ewell

No sign of any work going on and it's in a sad state.

I think a small firm was planning to do it up, but the story goes that a theft of kitchen equipment meant that they couldn't afford to continue.

The Rifleman Inn, Epsom

REOPENED

Has been totally refurbished by Greene King, and new tenant installed.

Cannot comment on what it is like as I haven't visited yet.

The Star, Ewell

I understand that the Star will be reopening in May, as a food/bar outlet.

The Wheatsheaf, Ewell

Evidently food is now available again. Lunch times only.

The Kings Arms, Epsom

I have just popped in for a quick pint. Good to report that they still serve Youngs. B&B must sort out the website link.

The Star, Ewell

The Star is closing on the 10th February.

Let's hope someone will take it on.

The Famous Green Man, Ewell

Very well run pub, but I'm afraid full of 'builder and football types (Live football).

When can we have a pub that caters for the 'Village' community, as far as I can see The Wheatsheaf is the only one, now that the King Bill is now an Italian restuarant.

I sincerely hope that the Village is not becoming part of London suburbia.

We deserve more than that

The Star, Ewell

This pub is sitiuated within 'Ewell Village', which still is 'a suburban village.

I've been in there a few times when the live bands are on, but it attracts outsiders who only want to hear loud rock 70's music.

It'll be interested to hear what happens, when the complaints floud in when the flats above the Sainsbury's local are occupied in Spring 2012

Organ and Dragon, Ewell

I understand that the local council (Epsom and Ewell) have I identified this site for housing. So another pub local land market may go.

The Wheatsheaf, Ewell

A very nice pub, but unfortunately food no longer served, perhaps because good cheap grub can be had at The Eight Bells, round the corner.

The Star, Ewell

This pub seems to have gone downhill recently. No food served, virtually empty at lunchtimes, and seems to survive only because of the regular live rock bands. Badly needs redecorating.

The Kings Arms, Epsom

No closed for refurbishment until early February when it will officially re-launch as a Butcher and Barrel pub. I hope they will stick serve Youngs.

The Thomas Farley, Thornton Heath

I moved from The Victory, just round the closure to the Thomas Farley, and am surprised it is still surviving. I don't know if they still have pool tournaments.

The Victory, Thornton Heath

This used to be one of of my locals from 40 years ago.

I can confirm that it is now a mosque.
