The Squirrel at Hurtmore, Hurtmore

Top pub, went there when the summer was sizzling & sat in the garden and sampled all the real ales (including Hogs Back). There was a bunch of us with several little ones, garden is child friendly and the food was fantastic. Had the calamari, served in big portions, just the right amount of Chilli sauce and a perfectly poured pint of TEA. Great for large groups and I believe they are currently renovating the adjacent cottages currently to rent out as accommodation? Great location, will be interesting if still as inviting in the winter months...

Rogues Wine Bar, Guildford

Great bar, lovely garden and the staff aren't bad either...well apart from that Manager...

The Volunteer, Sutton Abinger

I met a few friends at this pub last Sunday, we were originally going to meet at the Abinger Hatch...and I wish we had. We originally wanted to order a roast but were told at 1pm they had run out...? The 1st 2 dishes we did order arrived promptly, albeit the lamb cutlets were served with loose-leaf lettuce instead of veg, it then took another 20mins for the other 2 to arrive well after our friends had finished theirs... When my friends arrived the burger looked like it had been roasted over a volcano, charcoaly and inedible. Its a lovely location, but they definitely need to improve the service and the food quality, overpriced and poorly presented.
