The Load Of Hay, Uxbridge

Consistently good - cut my drinking teeth here!

The Red Lion Hotel, Hillingdon

Ruined - I used to go to school just over the road. Used to be a fantastic pub with fantastic beer.
The beer remains good - but they have totally gutted the inside used to be oak panelling etc. Criminal somebody needs shooting.

Crown Posada, Newcastle

What a pub! Superb beer, exceptionally friendly. I went there first over 20 years ago when a student - went back last year with the wife. Fantastic. Don't go for the food though (unless you like corned beef!)

The Oak Inn, Lyndhurst

Often busy - good beer, sandwiches good value - hot food expensive and boring. Average

The Wykeham Arms, Winchester

I don't want to share a pub with oik's and ASBO's. But equally don't want to share it with a bunch of hooray henry's. The only pub I have ever been in where I have been met by the landlord and asked 'can I help you?'
This place is not a pub it's a tea room. I really dislike it. Unwelcoming, pretntious and the food not all it is cracked up to be. Unlike any other 'pub' I have ever been in. Strictly for posers only. Avoid.

The Black Boy, Winchester

Nice pub, good food, beer and atmosphere.

Croft Tavern, Hythe

This has now been renamed - but it is not worth remembering the name. All lager and louts.

The Lord Nelson, Hythe

Excellent unspoilt pub. Unusual with lots of bars - seems to attract a rather dodgy looking clientele - but always friendly. Excellent beer, basic food but fairly priced. A real drinking pub.

Gleneagles, Hythe

Decent pub grub - fair beer, very smokey.

Ebenezers, Hythe

Not recommended - no decent beer.

The White Buck, Burley

Very busy at weekends. Good food and beer (expensive).

The White Horse, Milford on Sea

Good reliable pub. Good value tasty food (pub grub), excellent range of beer - well kept.

The Smugglers, Milford on Sea

The pub changed hands a couple of years ago - the food is dire. The beer not much better. Pretentious interior. Another good pub ruined.
