The Foundry Arms, Northrepps

This place has a fairly small bar area and it does feel a bit like you are walking into someones front room. However, the locals are friendly, it has a large restaraunt, they also have a pool table and a small beer garden. Decent ales on tap, we have eaten there once and it was good hearty food.

Kings Head, Cromer

recently renovated, but strangely looks the same, except everything is a bit more primary coloured. Reasonable boozer, but nothing to recommend it over the Red Lion or Wellinhgton

Wellington Hotel, Cromer

The wellington is shabby on the outside but somewhat smarter inside, at least in comparison to the Dolphin. This place is rammed with young uns at the weekend and is quite expensive. They have a nice courtyard and a separate restaraunt area which is good, one of the few places in cromer you can get a non panini based lunch.

The Red Lion Hotel, Cromer

Probably the best pub in Cromer, nicely done out and has good views. Food not that great and it can get very hot in the summer

The Dolphin, Cromer

Ale trail (65) stamp number 10. This place has a great location and good beer, including three woodfordes all in good condition, but really really needs a bit of doing up. didnt eat here and wouldnt, you know it will be from the seventies like everything else in here. Usually very quiet despite the location, in contrast to its neighbour the wellington.

The Old Red Lion, Aldborough

Woodfordes ale trail 2011 stamp 20 (nos 171). Nice enough village pub overlooking a big green, the pub has a couple of ales and was initially quite promising. The Woodfordes wherry was clear and good. The low score isbecause of the food. We phoned to book then ordered three sunday lunches. It took an hour and a hlaf to bring them, and then it was overcooked. I honestly could have cooked the whole thing from scratch in less time. We were not the only ones to face such a delay. They kept telling us it would be ready in 5 minutes etc. The landlord came out and presented us with three complimentary glasses of port, which were neither wanted nor drank, nice to offer us something but port? Just odd. The waiter likened the whole place to faulty towers. Ok for a pint but I would not recommend eating here.
