The Carlton Tavern, Worksop

This pub closed in 2011 and is now a bathroom showroom!

The Station Hotel, Filey

Full marks for this this pub. Extremely friendly management and staff really made us welcome. Even the lady chef came out to talk to us, firstly to enquire whether we had any special requirements and secondly to make sure that we were satisfied with the meal.
The food is all freshly prepared using local fresh ingredients, and excellent value.
5 real ales were available. I had two superb pints of Adnams Flame Runner in beautiful condition. My wife had a glass of excellent Merlot, accompanied by a FREE glass of soda water.
We shall definitely return when next in Filey.

This must be the most improved pub in York. Visited 23 Oct 07 after about 3 years. Very friendly welcome and attentive service, excellent quality and value food. Add beautifully kept cask ales and the score is 9/10

The Crown and Mitre, Kings Lynn

Visited Kings Lynn May 14 07. An outstanding pub, excellent real ales, great traditional atmosphere.
My wife said that the glass of house wine was the finest she had tasted.
Try the House Speciality Croque Monsier - this is the best toasted sandwich you will ever taste.
Sit up in the vinery (complete with vine)and look out onto the River Great Ouse.
Everthing adds up to a pub deserving full marks
