The Taps, Enfield

The best pub in Enfield for 25 to 50 age group. The lady manager has attrative bar staff, three football matches at once and 70S & 80s music at night. Can get a bit packed at times and is let down only by the outside. Bouncers are friendly and thankfully hardly ever used. If I owned a pub in the Country, I would employ this Scottish bombshell of a manager to run my bar. The Theirry Henry of pub managers

The George, Enfield

If there was ever a reason why the new licencing laws would not work or you wondered why we had a binge drinking problem with youths- then spend an evening here.

The Stag, Enfield

The pub is small but that I think that's why it works - it is like someones living room. Because its selective regarding customers, the high prices relect this. The Aussies would say its a FIFO pub, fit in or f... off)
The staff are friendly and though the juke box takes up half the pub, you have to press your ear up againt it to hear anything. The food is the best, the prices are resonable and the portions are massive. Go upstairs for a the best kept secret in dining - book first. Once known as a Gay pub, I think that no longer is the case ( so my boyfiend informs me)
Worth a visit

The Kings Head, Enfield

This smoke filled pub has to be the most expensive in the Town. Finding a seat in the corridors or the back bar is difficult and then climbing over them to reach the toilets is no fun. Lives of the fact that pub is old and good looking. High bar prices keeps the kids from crossing over from the George. Ideal location and I find lunchtime the best time to visit

Crown and Horseshoes, Enfield

I stopped going here after I waited two hours for a Sunday Roast and an hour for a chicken salad the week after. That I am glad to say was over two years ago and I believe the new management have turned it around. The best location for any pub in Enfield and the Garden is great, just a shame we live with the English weather.

The Wonder, Enfield

When I saw the poster outside saying' this is a free from Sky Sports' I can only presume the manager wants a quiet life rather then make Money. This is why it is stuck in a time warp, they wont splash out. I had a quick look in and though I believe in Horses for courses, I do Wonder how it makes money

Moon Under Water, Enfield

The problem with this pub ( like most weatherspoons in the UK)it's to sucessful for its own good. To give you next to nothing meals deals and cheap beer, they don't employ enough staff. When you finally get served, you wait an age for your meal. Stand at the bar at peak times in any Weatherspoon pub and watch how many people walk out. ( I have played this game in over 10 W/S bars)
Staff are friendly enough.

Cricketers, Enfield

Can be souless at times but it's one of though pubs that does'nt need anything added. You could take your Grannie or you little daughter. Ideal for buisness meetings in the day and nice chat at night. Food is nice and yes the beers a bit pricy

The Lincoln Arms, Bush Hill Park

A friendly mixture of Spurs and Arsenal fans makes watching sport fun. Live matches of Saturday games via U.A.E. Could do with more bar staff at times( Customers walked out on Christmas day 2004). The management are streetwise, pumping bags of energy into getting it right. If they could solve the Coke problem in the toilets ( not the famous fizzy Coke)it may bring more children in. Needs to bring back ' cash back' over the bar instead of the rip off cash machine. Good quiz night on a Thurdsay but dont enter for the prizes. could do with decent sport pictures instead of tacky flags and posters. High turnover of student barpersons, some even smile. A good atmorsphere with punters.
