The Twin Towers, Birmingham

Dog rough. Only go in there if you know how to use your fists....

The Ship Inn, Mousehole

Lovely little pub in a truly gorgeous old village. The seafood platter is excellent here, fresh and perfect in every way. Lots of character and all the quaint fiddly bits are genuine rather than added on plastic crap. Check out the plaque on the door as you go in about the lost lifeboat crew...and put your beer change in the RNLI tin.

The Square Peg, Birmingham

This pub used to be the nearest one to work so it was a regular haunt. It's very hit and miss. Some days you can have a great time, other times you can't get out fast enough. I've not experienced the same vagrant/shagging in the loos problems as other reviwers but I would definitely agree that it's often hard to get served, especially at around 5pm when it's chocka with the escaped from work crowd.

The Liberty Bounds, Tower Hill

Bloody brilliant pub! We popped in there for lunch on 13th June at about 1.30 and ended up leaving at about 10.30pm! We had their "beer and a burger" meal for lunch which was good. Nothing special but a good price for London and tasty and filling enough. The Stella was excellent, chilled to perfection and the staff were all very friendly with quick service. We ate dinner in there as well and the fish and chips was good sized and good quality. This place has a great atmosphere despite being huge and the toilets were better than mine at home! The whole place was welcoming and comfortable and there were nooks and crannies for couples and canoodlers and plenty of larger areas for bigger groups. Highly recommended. Happy memories!

The Sawyers Arms, Paddington

Quite a nice little pub, good mix of drinkers. The bar staff were friendly enough but boy were they pushy at drinking up time!

The Dickens Tavern, Paddington

Definitely the worse pub in Paddington. Grubby, smelly and the bar staff were confused by English. It might be "the longest pub in London" as they claim but that alone is no excuse to subject yourself to it.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, Fleet Street

While in London about 10 days ago we went on a ghost walk/pub crawl organised by The Big Bus Company. This was one of the pubs we visited. And it was brilliant! We went to the all wood bar at the very bottom of the building and it was atmospheric, cool and really good fun. There were a great mix of customers, everything from tourists soaking up all that history to a group of lads who were doing a Monopoly pub crawl. I will be going back for a longer stay next time I'm in London. Highly recommended! If I'd tried the food or stayed longer it would probably have earned a score of 10.

The Pride of Paddington, Paddington

I spent a week in London very recently with a friend and as this appeared to be the only pub in Paddington open 'til midnight we went a few times. It gets very busy, mostly with locals, but despite that there was never much of a wait at the bar. On our last visit (Sat night at around 8pm) we had to wait over an hour for our meal. I have to say it was worth the wait though - superb fish and chips, huge portion, excellent quality. The staff are all very friendly too. I'd definitely recommend this place.
