The William IV, Bletchingley

The summer has seen the garden turn into a real delight, and with the quality of food continuing to be great, the pub is really making an impact on the locals.
Not to be missed.

Whyte Harte Hotel, Bletchingley

Hotel now taken over by new management, previously the pub suffered from high prices and below average food.
Pub has been revamped with all of the character removed to become a polished bar. Looks and feels like an empty box, hopefully if the re painted fire gets going in the winter it may recover some of it's historical character.
Drinks prices have come down to match the competition and a Portuguese lager added, which some drinkers liked.
Food has continued to be below standard, cold plates, cold vegetables, cheep bap on the burger and poor presentation. Bye the way the Haddock on the menu is smoked, some people would like to know up front.
Considering this is their first week of business you would think they would make an effort, very sad. Went in on the evening of the Bank Holiday, which should not have made a difference.

Has all the potential to be a great pub but due to it's Hotel size and Hotel prices it just doesn't make it.

The Parrot Inn, Forest Green

Despite the pub being opened up to accomodate more people it has some real character. Liked the integrated butchers shop selling some excellent local produce. Food was very good being made from local produce and the staff serving were very friendly. Will go back again with some friends in tow.

The William IV, Bletchingley

A real country pub, small and cozy with a log burner. Very friendly owner and staff who offer some good value for money pub food. Beer is Youngs but luckily they serve Wells Bombardier along with the usual Lagers. Well worth a visit, best pub in Bletchingley.
