Has changed alot since I used to drink in there (when it was the Thatched House). Fairly friendly I guess but then I would be classed as a local so don't worry about that.
If you really want some excitement, get in there on a Monday evening and you could get to play dominoes against my Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My local and best pub in the area. Can get smokey but a little tip, get a spot by the bar as smoking isn't allowed at the bar and it does make a difference.
Good for football with plenty of screens. Juke bx now gone with one of those behind the bar automatic things now. Beer is invariably excellent (well The London Pride is!!) All the staff are very friendly, as are the locals in my experience.
Occasionally has live music which are pretty good nights to.
Overall a bit of a locals pub but you won't get beaten up if you are new to it. Honest!!!!!!

Agreed excellent (if a little Pricey). Especially for the music. As for the Allbeats I was chatting to the guitarist from them a while back at another gig he did and apparently they got slung out of there for being a little worse for wear!!!!!

Good pub for that after work waiting for my train drink.
Gets nicely busy around six as office workers, builders, car salesmen plus others all refresh after a long hard day.
Also has live music most Saturdays and the odd Friday with a band called The Normals playing there once a month as the resident band.
Good lively friendly nights.
