Have visited a few times, lovely old pub, great selection of beers and a nice atmosphere in which to drink.

Been here a few times, Staff usually freindly and helpful, food and drink are good, lives up to expectations for a chain pub, where so many don't.

My girlfriend and i visited The Old Castle on a fairly busy Thursday afternoon, From the minute we got in there until we left the Landlord was friendly, attentive and helpful.
The pub is cosy and has a large spacious beer garden, but the real surprise was the food. We decided on the combo for two, i thought this might not be enough as we were fairly hungry, but didn't want a substantial meal, so i ordered the homemade soup of the day as well.
The soup (broccoli and pea) was served in a large bowl with a fresh warm baguette and was a meal in itself due to the portion size. I have previously worked as a conference and banqueting manager and this soup was as good as i have tasted. The Combo was a refreshing change from the usual pub fayre served, especially in the tired "chain" pubs. The Items in the combo were all fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked with plenty of homemade garlic bread, again, a very generous portion.
Whoever is in the kitchen obviously knows their stuff and takes pride in the quality and presentation of their food.
We will definately eat and drink here again when we visit Bridgnorth and will recommend The Old Castle with confidence, great value for money.

The Old Castle, Bridgnorth
Back at The Old Castle for lunch 1 year on, there are lots of pub/restaurants in Bridgnorth but we went with what we knew and we were rewarded with the same friendly welcome,
great food and generous portions. Once again we left food on our plates and felt guilty.
If i lived in Bridgnorth this would be my local.
