Good Fullers ales in this busy pub with great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Parking not easy but it is worth persevering.

The Barley Mow, Clifton Hampden

Part of a chain but good guest ales, good food and pleasant garden close to the Thames. Used to be dog-friendly but new management have banned pets anywhere in the pub or restaurant. Young staff seem to be a little under-trained.

New Inn, Middleton Cheney

A real pub with good food and an excellent selection of real ales. Very good service by (mostly young) staff. Crowded at weekends.

Friendly well appointed local with good guest ales (usually including Hook Norton) and good food. Dog and walker friendly.
