The Artillery Arms, Ramsgate

This goes from strength to strength.
Thursday nights are jam nights. Mainly blues.
Downstairs now has a large TV screen where you can bring in your own DVD`s for all to share. On Tuesdays the same goes with old vinyl LP`s. The guv`nor is also starting his own bring n swop library.
Apart from sticking a feather up his nose and dancing naked on the tables ( not a pretty sight) there`s not much more he can do to cater for all.
An on going beer festival on a daily basis. What else do you need?

Rose of England, Ramsgate

lOVELY OLD BUILDING WHICH IS SUPPOSE TO BE HAUNTED.( ho hum), but the locals would have to say that otherwise there wouldnt be a camra member for miles.
The landlord is certainly a character but cnt be bothered to serve real ale ?!?! (What sort of pub is it that doesnt stock ale ?????

The Blazing Donkey, Ramsgate

Not much point your grace.......its shut.
The last time I went in there I was told that they ouldnt do real ale as "I keep getting barrels that are off" .......when what the scts landlord meant was "I dont serve any real ale as I`m useless in the cellar"

No loss!!!!!!!!!!

The Red Lion, Ramsgate

Another of those town centre pubs where you have to look like Count Dracular to be accepted.
Ideal if you wanna see aHeadbanging Rock band but dont expect any rational conversation.

The Foy Boat, Ramsgate

Well maintained hotel/bar with a good selection of ales. Parking is a real problem in the area but one cant blame the licencee for that.
Quite friendly staff but not well populated and concequently not much of an atmosphere but if I wanted a dirty weekend away with my secretary Miss Lushbody then this would be my first choice.

The Churchill Tavern, Ramsgate

Very picturesqu pub and the ale is very palatable.
My only criticism is that it is such a barn of a place that there has to be about 60 customers before there is any sort of atmosphere.
Peter the New manager at least understands his ale and how to run a cellar.

Queen Charlotte, Ramsgate

Not for me thanks but thats only because I`m not a skinhead, goth, reggea fan or lager drinker.
Dont know what the cellar is used for but it certainly aint for secondary fermentation.
Don`t think you`ll ever find this in the CAMRA good beer guide !!!!!!!

Bedford Inn, Ramsgate

OK if you wanna be deafened by the Cecil B De Mille sized TV when a football match is on ???

Don`t try the ale unless you need a dose of the runs.

Trixie the barmaid is its only saving grace.

The Artillery Arms, Ramsgate

This pub is back at long last to the standard it was in the late 1990`s.
Magnificent ale being produced by many long and fruitfull hours down in the "engine room" and a no nonsense landlord who detest lager. (So there is a higher power after all!)
The epitome of an old English pub, rather than a trendy family meeting place.
God bless all who sail in her.
A visit to Ramsgate isn`t a visit to Ramsgate unless you`ve tried this one
Enjoy.
