Good mix of customers in there and they have a proper old fashioned land lady. Polite and friendly but will not have any nonsense.

This place is a shame. It could be so good and a real shot in the arm for Watford the decor is great and the theoretical range of drinks is interesting...BUT last time I was in there they had a folk night and they had run out of draught bitters. There was Leffe and Hoegaarden available but the young barmen thought these were lagers. People don't mind paying premium prices premium beer and premium service but paying �4 for a shoddy beer, served shoddily is not the way forward. You've got a great venue guys, TRAIN YOUR STAFF!

The landlord is called Ray. I think it is because he is such a ray of sunshine, but I might be wrong.
