Windmill, Hitchin

A fantastic pub but has in recent months been closed. Perhaps a change of ownership soon and a re-opening? I'm hopeful.

The Half Moon, Hitchin

One of my favourite pubs in Hitchin. Friendly staff and a great mixed crowd. Well worth a visit.

The Bricklayers Arms, Hitchin

Refurbished and a genuine gem now. Good ales and a lovely staggered garden out the back.

CASK Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico

Great pub, great choice of ales. Yes it can be expensive (especially on the higher % beers) and the food is limited (not a problem as this is a specialist beer pub).

You'll never get bored here, have visited several times. Everyone I have taken here for the first time is blown away.

The Rusty Gun, Hitchin

A little underwhelmed after a meal and drinks here. Food was good but not amazing, on the expensive side. Service was reasonably slow, it took about 50 minutes for starters to arrive (soup). The local ale here is passable. Beautiful surroundings and it does have character, it just somehow is not quite reaching its potential.

Gilpins Bell, Edmonton

Large Wetherspoons. Home Supporters only on Tottenham match day. One of the only pubs in the area where you have a chance of a table if you plan to eat. Efficient with drinks and food in my experience. Lacks the pre-match atmosphere of some others in the area but remains a good option.

Bill Nicholson, Tottenham

One of the better matchday pubs in Tottenham. Home supporters only.

Filled with memorabilia from various bygone times at White Hart Lane. Will get crowded in the few hours before kick off so worth getting their a little earlier and buying a pitcher.

Not much in the way of ales but if you're ok with the generic lagers you can have a great time here.

Shot girls and occassional dancers.

The Parcel Yard, Kings Cross

Fantastic pub. Large range of ales, nicely furnished.

Pricing is on the high side but to be expected given the fantastic location.

The Sunrunner, Hitchin

This pub has had a horrific makeover. A sort of gothic neon nu-rave mismash of uncomfortable ill filling nonsense.

I'm not even sure what the target audience is for this place now but sadly it's not me. All decent beers and atmosphere have gone. A real shame.

Henry's Cafe Bar, Green Park

Visited only as I needed an easy to find bar for other coming to Green Park. Very expensive, 4.45 for a Pint of Becks Vier! Miserable staff, Toilets were flooded. Won't visit again.
