The Rising Sun, Blackfriars

Visited recently - not a bad pub - decent pint of Spitfire, good location.

The Good Samaritan, Whitechapel

Really enjoyed my visit - nice staff, good fire and a decent pint of Guinness

The Royal Oak, Borough

Great pub, I am a Harvey's fan and as the reviews state the place is in great order, very traditional boozr

The Triple Crown Inn, Richmond

OK well Mick has departed and has been replaced by the very enthusiastic and affable Harvey who knows his ale's and is happy to talk you through the range which included Twickenham Ales, Griffin(?) and the stock standard Pride - tried the Nelson's summer ale which was of good quality. The Guinness at the TC is teriffic.

Easily the best pub in Richmond and with a landlord who is keen to carry on the unique appeal of the TC, I look forward to many more beers here!

The Watermans Arms, Richmond

Great little pub very traditional - had a pint of Guinness with an Irish mate and he was suitably impressed. If you want to see a traditional pub give it a visit!

The Sun, Richmond

Very good pub - really the place is a gem!

The Hope, Richmond

I have to say i don't miss Molly's - the place was beyond shabby and did it's best to turn away customers towards the end of it's existance... The Hope, well looks OK decent refurb, bit soul-less but hey the place is a barn. The prices however will keep the punters away - G&T and a Pint of Doombar (which I like a lot) was north of 10!

With prices like this I think I have found the cause of our recent inflationary pressures!

Prince Of Wales, Putney

kinda fancy photos as well, no one usually goes to that much trouble. I liked the old POW, it was a dump, but I knew what I was getting.

The Kings Arms, Waterloo

Nice boozer in a perfect location - good pints of Green King IPA and a plesant atmosphere.

Great loacation down a very quaint street. Well worth a visit...

The Hope, Richmond

We (12 of us) attemped to watch the Heineken Cup - Wasps Munster game at Molly's. Walked in and the barman was not interested in switching over from ge Galic football - went back to the Shaftesbury.

I have noticed that Mollys is struggling to draw a crowd.

The Lamb and Flag, Covent Garden

Teriffic pint of 6X - the Lamb & Flag never fails to deliver a great atmosphere and a top quality pint.

16 Jan 2008 13:47

The Harp, Covent Garden

First visit last nigh to the Harp and I was suitably impressed. Great range Harveys Sussex best, Spitfire, Black Sheep Bitter and Tim Taylors. This pub deserves it's high praise!

Old Red Lion, Holborn

I would agree that this pub is a good traditional boozer, the staff are good the Green King is pretty good as well. Good pub but there are better nearby

The Ship Tavern, Holborn

Great pub, regretably I only recently ventured into the Ship after many years of walking past. During November they are having a beer festival. The Theakstons Old Perculiar and the Best Bitter were very tasty. Looking forward to going back again soon to take advantage of more guest beers!

13 Nov 2007 16:24

The Essex Serpent, Covent Garden

Really enjoyed the Essex Serpent, I tried the Deuchars IPA and was impressed with the quality. Do try this pub if your in Covent Garden

13 Nov 2007 15:25

The Ring, Southwark

Went along to the Ring last night and found it to be a very plesant pub. OK the range of beers is a little basic however the John Smiths and Guinness were bith good. The boxing photographs are teriffic.

Food was good and well priced I thought.

Rutland Arms, Hammersmith

Yep pretty rubbish. Great location however nothing else seems good about it

6 Nov 2007 01:01

The Dove Inn, Hammersmith

Quality pub - get out there and see it as the Dove is unique

6 Nov 2007 00:58

Walkabout, Putney

not really for me - but honestly, it is a walkabout and it does what it says on the tin! Shame its there though... If you want somehere decent go round the corner to the Brick!

6 Nov 2007 00:56

Shaftesbury Arms, Richmond

Very impressed with my recent visit - the staff were great and the screen for the football was good. As a youngs pub I couldnt go past the ram and special. Ohhh and the open fireplace is a cracker!

6 Nov 2007 00:45

The Shipwrights Arms, London Bridge

I visited during the world cup to watch a game, the pace was busy but the landlady was spot on with the service - I think I was on Adnams (few weeks ago) I think if you are in the area do take a look!

6 Nov 2007 00:42

Henry Addington, Canary Wharf

Probably the best in the Canary Wharf estate - kind of sad that I can only justify giving the place a 5...

8 Mar 2006 14:28

The Gun, Coldharbour

As most people have mentioned the pub's main asset is the view of the river (quite impressive) and the owners realy do cash in on it. I have visited the pub many times however it still seems to me that I am drinking in an upmarket restaurant. The range of beer is pretty average - nothing too inspired.

8 Mar 2006 14:25

The Cedar Tree, Putney

I can honestly say I have never had a worse pint than what I was served from the Cedar Tree - truly shocking!

8 Mar 2006 12:12

The North Pole, Canary Wharf

Having worked in the area for the last 3 years I finally made a visit to the North Pole, I can honestly say this pub is a gem! The decor is superb, the staff were very good and the beer was well looked after. If you are in the Canary Wharf area and like me dont think much of the All Bar One kind of establishment the North Pole is a must.

6 Mar 2006 12:35

The Boathouse, Putney

Nice fit out but poor internal areas and very slow service are annoying. Good quality Youngs as you would expect.

28 Jul 2005 11:26

Ye Olde White Horse, Aldwych

In my opinion this pub is a cracker! OK the decor looks a bit dated but it is a boozer. I can recommend the Deuchars IPA - a well conditioned and well looked after session drink.

28 Jul 2005 11:22

Ye Old Mitre, Holborn

Brilliant pub. I recommend it to everyone, the place must be seen to be believed, a classic

28 Jul 2005 11:18

Old Nick, Holborn

A fantastic pub with a great landlord. Well worth a session. The ales are well cellered - the Sussex Bitter and the Badger are very good quality pints!

28 Jul 2005 11:15

The Green Man, Putney Heath

Good pub, good beer, great beer garden but the staff.... unplesant is an understatement.

25 Jul 2005 14:23

The Fox, Putney

Good place to watch sport, however if you fancy a drink try elsewhere as the staff are slow and always appear hungover.

25 Jul 2005 14:17

The Bricklayers Arms, Putney

Walked into the Putney Brick on the way back from the Dukes Head on Friday and was so plesantly supprised. Great pint of Landlords! It's well worth a visit.
