This place impresses only because it's in Oslo. Steamer is excellent, but that's about it. And what's with the all the small flies buzzing about the back booths? Get some old style insecticide or better yet -- mop up the stale spilled beer and other detritus!

Rumour has it that the Globe has been purchased by a new owner and shall be opening again soon. Fingers crossed this once fine pub shall return to the scene.

Chock full of Scandinavian lawyers on most Friday nights (is their office nearby?!?). One bloke from outside Bergen got so pissed that he tried to hit on the Polish bar maid and got a quick kick to the crotch for his lame efforts. Way to go girl!

This is a lovely, immaculately clean, family-owned place. Expecting it to be packed with folks on a Friday night is unfair. It fills a niche and does it well.

No self-respecting Scandinavian goes to this place more than once. Chock a block with dudes hoping to score with a Nordic lovely. Lykke til gutter!

The Crown and Sceptre, Fitzrovia
Recently filmed scenes for an upcoming movie here and it was closed for a few days. It's a hipsters haunt and if that ain't you then don't go as you're bound to feel out of place. Geek Chic is the dress code.

Under new management and while the food still leaves much to be desired, the service is better than before and the managers are making a real effort to improve. Good selection of bottled beers including some odd ones from Poland and/or Russia.

Fantastic hamburgers and fries. Very good service. Stylish atmosphere. Describing this place as a "complete dump" is completely inaccurate and says far more about the poster than the pub.
