The Victoria, Dunstable

A friendly boozer with a rotating selection of ale. Food good and staff cheery. A bit of a gem in my view.

The Sportsman, Luton

A fairly rough and ready boozer with little going for it other than it's handy for a quick pint while waiting for the Indian takeaway across the road to get your food ready.

I can only assume the previous post (Trixielooloobell) has confused her Sportsmen as the comments bear no relation to this pub!

The Harefield, Harefield

What a nice boozer. Beer well kept, food good, nice atmosphere.

The Coy Carp, Uxbridge

Great location but pub looking tired, menu uninspiring and beer not well kept. Could be so much better.

The Bricklayers Arms, Luton

On balance this is probably the best pub in Luton, though it's not exactly up against stiff competition. Popped in on Friday night, five ales on tap, with two more being added as the barrels were changed mid evening. Well, you've got to try them all...

The Old Wheatsheaf, Enfield

A pleasant, unspoilt boozer. Beer well kept and usually a rotating choice of three ales. I've been coming here for a few years now and always find the early part of the evening enjoyable with the latter half disappearing into the usual haze that descends....
