Rose and Crown, Huddersfield

I don't think the last reviewer could have meant Richard the owner, who is charming and the perfect host. There is a new barman who the lest said about the better. Still a great pub but the newly refurbished Cock is going to do well if getting a pint can be such a chore. New menu is very good, terrific value and the new chef is brilliant. As has been the case for a long while the real ale range is extensive and very very well kept.

The Rising Sun, Mossley

Great pub. Excellent refurb without ruining the ambience. Fantastic range of real ales. No food-pity. Very friendly owner. Bar staff gorgeous, owner ugly.

The Diggle Hotel, Diggle

Brill pub. Great range of well kept real ales. Food exceptional. Jan and Geoff and all staff are also exceptionally friendly and laid back. I walk a lot with my dog and often my route to end here.

The Commercial, Mossley

Great pub. No food. Good beer at reasonable prices. Always real ales on which are always top notch. Recommended.

The Britannia Inn, Mossley

I very rarely leave comments about pubs. They are, after all, all different and what might appeal to one might not appeal to another. However this pub is exceptional for all the wrong reasons. Go for a laugh, it's the faulty towers of pubs. Every thing from moving a stool to having ice in your cider is either against the law or against the owner's unique health and safety interpretation. ITS THE LAW, ITS THE LAW. Food good, pub rubbish.
