Now called SION, an African bar, if you are white you will be told it's "not your type of place".
NO DRAFT BEER, RACIST, AVOID.

The Blue Gate Hotel, Smethwick
Ignore the post below, this pub is not run by Pakistanis, they are Indian , but for Mr Indian we would have nowhere left to drink in Smethwick.
Never seen drugs in here and few fights in twenty years.
good mix of nationalities and friendly.

The Billiard Hall, West Bromwich
Popped in Tuesday for a steak and a pint or two. Cheap isn't the word, best Wetherspoons in the Birmingham catchment area, all Wetherspoons staff should be sent here for training in manners and efficiency, friendly boozer all round, handy for the bus and tram too. Great.

Walked in tonight for a pint, 8 people max, stood at the bar while the manager was playing with his phone, walked out, the only bigger idiot than him is the person who employed him.

The Figure of Eight, Birmingham
Popped in yesterday lunch(Sunday) to meet a few friends who live in the area, not that busy. I have used a lot of Wetherspoons pubs all around the country due to work. This is honestly the worst I have been in for service, all staff should be trained properly instead of thrown in at the deep end. 4/10

Cape hill is running out of pubs, the seven stars is a cheap place to drink though the beer can be a bit iffy sometimes. No real ales. DJ on Friday and Saturday, DJ's tend to play for themselves. This pub is in desperate need of new management.

The Midland, Bearwood
Six months on and this pub is dying a death, great choice of ales but the funeral parlour up the road has more life.
