Darby's, Swanton Morley

An excellent pub with good real ale and decent food. There is also a garden which older children (c. 8+) will enjoy.

The Ledger Building, Canary Wharf

Visited on 18 May 2006. Not usually a fan of Wetherspoons but this one is pretty good. Very good prices for well kept beers and good service.

The Goose, Holborn

visited 10 may 2006. Beer seemed very ordinary even though it was Landlord - how can they make it taste so poor?
The outside area is a nice idea in theory but you actually get blasted by the air conditioning outlet and can't hear yourself talk. Enormous queues to get served. Toilets were flooding the floor which meant you had to go for a paddle every time you needed to relive yourself. I wouldn't go there again.

The Jolly Gardners, Putney

visited on 5 April 2006. A pretty good pub with decent selections of beer and wine. The food was very slow to arrive - 1/2 hour for a sausage sandwich and the accompanying salad was tiny and very limp. A good place to drink but I would probably advise eating before you get there.

The Coachmakers, Dereham

A local pub popular with younger drinkers. Is very welcoming to all though. The landlord likes his real ale and keeps it well.

Agree with other comments a good pub for decent beer and a nice trouble free clientele

Reliable Adnams beer and a fairly pleasant place

A nice traditional pub

Crown Posada, Newcastle

A great pub with good beer. My first port of call when I'm in Newcastle

Red Lion, Ealing

Revisited this summer after a gap of many years (due to moving out of the area). As good as ever and I can't think of any way of improving it hence a rating of 10.

The George, East Dereham

A decent pub with the best range of beers in Dereham. There are several other pubs with reliable real ale - the Kings Head, the Plough, the Coachmakers to name a few

Bread and Roses, Clapham

Visited on 17 August 2005. Only one real ale available despite there being about 6 hand pumps. This was cloudy and disgusting. The bar staff refused to change the barrel but were happy so sell me an overpriced lager. This may be a nice venue but if the Workers' Beer Company can't be bothered to have any beer then they won't get my custom again.
