you cant go wrong here, a proper old pub, serving great beers, really good food, friendly staff and no idiot customers.

nice old pub, good beer, I can put up with sticky tables but the home made chicken curry was awful.

The Orange Tree, Havering Atte Bower
Used to be a nice pub serving decent food but in the last few years has gone downhill mainly due to incompetent staff, food is now well below average, your lucky if get a clean glass luckier still if there is more than one ale on, and if it does`nt taste of disinfectant you should definitely buy a lottery ticket on the way home.

The Black Horse, Brentwood
More a restaurant than pub serving good food and 3 ales including adnams broadside. Can be a bit slow with the food but always admired them for taking the initiative and banning the filthy smokers ages before the ban came in.
