Have been in the Rainbow a few months ago and found a surprizing new restaurant staff, serving traditional home cooked food at excellent prices. The food was amazing and the service second to none. I understand that the cuthill family were running the restaurant at that time and what a big difference they have made. I think it would be wise if they took over the pub as a whole as they truly have the Community Feel that this pub requires.

Without being nasty this place has been dogged by a reputation for violence for years now. Back in the 80s it was a pretty decent place to booze. (My wee sister and an ex of mines even had jobs there in the easrly 90's) Generally full of roasters these days if youre looking for bother try Friday nights. Its a real heart stopper! Shame, really

Not one of my favourites, I only go to visit friends who drink here. Popular with young rogues and other older rogues. I've seen a bit of trouble in the past but to be honest, you're fine if you don't look for it. Cheap pints and a large choice of food and always plenty of seats/bar space available. Avoid at weekends where disastrous karaokes and discos send the punters packing elsewhere.
