Just been back to this pub, not been here for a while, nothing too much changed apart from looking cleaner and staff more alert! The real difference is the beer. They had Wychwood Hobgoblin, Jennings Cumberland Ale and Marstons Pedigree and I chose the Cumberland which was fresh and moreish, very good. While I was there an elderly gent also commented on how good the beer is these days. A change of management perhaps? Worth a look in if your in the area.

In here Saturday morning so a bit quiet.
This is a Marstons pub. Large central bar with six hand pulls 3 on either side
but two didn't have anything on.
Another two had Pedigree but with the clips turned round which only left the EPA so had a pint of that which was OK and cost 2.90

Just been in this pub and it was almost empty (7pm) but i still managed to stand at the bar for a full 10 minutes without being acknowledged or served!
A guy who appeared to be in charge, went round and cleared some tables on both sides of me, he then went back behind the bar and started chatting to 2 barmaids. One of the barmaids walked past me, looking up at the glasses on the shelf, totally ignoring me! I eventually left, totally dumfounded by the total lack of service and regard to customers! If they had been busy I would have understood it! Will never go in there again!

Management, these are the opinions of your customers; I would definitely take it seriously.

Used to go to this pub many years ago when I lived in England. Visit a couple of times a year and take my mum for lunch. This place is not what it used to be. Staff talking amongst themselves instead of serving me while I stand and wait at the bar. No atmosphere anymore. Couldn't care less attitude by staff and slow service. Unfortunately this seems to be ok with Mum so I just grit my teeth and deal with it. Next time I am going to try to get her to go somewhere else!
