No real ale though the lager was OK.

Firstly, the address listed on this website of Ye Olde Leather Bottle is incorrect. It is in Northfleet.

I use this pub to host the boardgame club I run. The landlord and staff have always been very accomodating and friendly to our group. In one of our earlier meetings there, the landlord kindly turned off the speaker above our heads when asked (it was also a theme night, so the music was rather loud). Ever since, he has already turned it off for us when we arrive each time - you don't get that helpfulness from many landlords!

The only slight that my group has found with this pub is the lack of choice in good ales. The accomodating nature of the landlord, friendliness from staff and locals alike, location, entertainment available (large tv, games, pool table, darts), history of the pub (ask about the hauntings!) and not-too-dear pub prices more than makes up for it.

An OK pub. One of the better ones in Northfleet.

Not really a lovely pub, more of a "boozer". Poor selection of real ale, the only one being Landlord, which was incredibly warm, so then attempted a Guinness which was terrible. Not a place for someone who really enjoys good beer, but definately a place to go if you would enjoy a good punch up.
