According to the owners The Fletch closed due to a combination of rising utility bills and the effects of the smoking ban. Change of use planning permission has been submitted for the site is due to become a car showroom.

Looks like you have your wish BB. The Fletch is now closed. A victim of the smoking ban maybe?

In the past I have had a decent beer in here, but let me recount a little story from the recent trip. . .

Thirsty for a beer, I'd been at work until 9pm I went out in search of some beer and perhaps a little snatch. The first few places I tried didn't come off at all well, in Tile Hill my fav's were off the pumps so it was into the motor and down the road to the fletch. Disaster! I watched with horror as il plumpo poured off my Bombardier, it had about as much life in it as a frenchie napoleonite after a good thumpin from a british bombardier. I said to her with meaning in my voice 'izzat ok luv?', well she thought it was fine but let me tell you, it was as rough as a badgers b******s. i shalln't make that mistake again. i dont often say this about a pub, but its time to shut up and die.

Good 'locals' pub with free quiz nights on Thursday's and Sunday's. Live bands appear occasionally on Friday/Saturday nights. Beer quality varies and it is rare you'll find all four handpumps serving ale. Regular beers appear to be Greene King IPA and Bomdardier. Can get very smokey which puts me off from going on a regular basis. The large function room at rear also has its own bar and serves real ale's.
