Friendly service and lovely location BUT sticky bar counter and very dirty glass-topped tables outside. Will not be returning.

The Thames Court pub - where do I start...!
A fantastic location, on the river, right near Shepperton Lock. Lovely on sunny days! Wonderful oldey-worldy building, with dark oak beams inside (watch your head!)
A good long bar, enough for 20 people to stand side by side, but for some reason the managers don't want that! You have to queue up, in single file at the first till (for some unknown reason) like in the dinner queue at school...!! Sometimes this queue, for drinks or food, is out the main door....putting people off coming in! Where is the sense in this...??!! Please explain management! It doesn't make any sense. If you only want a pint, you have to queue 20 mins with all the folk queueing for meals. I'm sorry....but that's just daft...!!!
Last year I waited 40 mins for a sandwich here! It kinda puts you off coming back. And I never get even a smile from the manageress or bar staff....there's something very wrong there.
(I will have to reduce my rating from 8/10 to 6/10, and that's purely because of the fantastic location)! Get my drift...! :o(

Out of the 3 pubs in this part of Shepperton this is the one creaming the business. It wins I guess because of its location right by the Thames and seemingly has a reputation for food although not my choice. It's a big hit with families. The beer situation was as dire as the the two in Church Square, London Pride and global warming contributer Doomed Beer. This place though has niched itself as a foodie family place with which the other two can't compete which is why they should be selling an adventurous range of ales not virtually the same as this place. The Thames Court don't have to worry, they're busy with customers. Now there must be somebody round here selling a decent drop of ale......( see Barley Mow)

Sunny afternoon - 100 or so people drinking in the garden - 2 people serving and they were miserable - not great.
