A very decent pub indeed. The lounge has to be seen to be believed. It was immaculate.

this is a proper pub, opened back in 1958 by the current landlord
George Dove , now well into his 80's but still very fit and active
and well able to keep a well run
hostillary.George has my uttermost
resect as he has NEVER had a holliyday or or even a day off since opening the "Mad Rabbit " as its known locally in October
1958.A TRUALLY Dedicated Licensee
I have yet to meet anyone more dedicated,as regards a rating below I'd recommend at least 12 out of 10 !!!
RESPECT GEORGE.
Roger.

If you know a friendlier Landlord or better and cheaper lunch I'd like to know where it is. Any one is welcome and can feel at home home in this great community pub.
George must be one of the longest serving Landlord's in the country

Big and average - 2 separate rooms - one of which has a pool table in it.

Apparently Engelbert Humperdinck used to perform here in the 1960's - he's big and average too!
