Double Smirnoff (50ml, in total) costs £9.13, with a splash of coke. Including a 10% charge for bringing the drink to your table. By some margin - the dearest prices in the area. Some might even think, they're taking advantage of the virus! randolf7 - 1 Aug 2020 14:04 |

Now The OakTavern and Tap. Unusual new strategy, with a large glasscased micro- brewery in the epicentre. Do they expect us to admire the slow brewing production? Massive missuse of space, which could be used so much better. Undoubtedly will fail again - not least because of the high prices, the internal uninteresting manufacturing site and bar persons, who have had very successful personally bypassed. wealdman - 1 May 2017 17:23 |

This pub has changed hands again since the last reviews and is now owned by the Faucet group who also have The Grasshopper in Moorhouse. It's now a really great place to go. The staff couldn't be more obliging. They have a positively and pleasantly daunting range of beers including some very exotic craft beers plus a great choice on draught. There's also a wide range of wines, gins, vodkas etc. Nice food although quality can perhaps be a little variable but it's always tasty and good value. It's a big, well laid out pub so you can always get a table. The Blligh's meadow car park (£1 in the evening) is right next door. Llywarch - 17 Oct 2014 11:34 |
