Went on B/H mon, really friendly place - beer was excellent and I would definately reccomend it for a bite to eat.

This pub has a lovely atmosphere, great food from a chalkboard menu that's changed daily, and some very well kept beer (usually including Brakspears seasonal ales, as well as the Brakspears ordinary and Hooky Dark).

As previously mentioned, the pub has a lovely atmosphere. Due to its size, however, I'd strongly recommend booking a few days before turning up en masse on a Sunday lunchtime. The pub can cater for special events and has been host to wedding receptions, birthday parties, and the like.

This is a local pub that has a good mixture of regulars and newcomers - strangers always seem welcome. It has its own Darts and Crib teams in the local leagues and has a good, friendly, community feel.

Another couple of good points are that the pub welcomes (well behaved!) dogs and also has a nice garden.

Went on a Sunday lunchtime. The pub had a good atmoshere with a cosy area with armchairs and a log fire and a pleasant dining area. The beer was good and there was areasonable selection including Brakspears. The food was reasonable but I wouldn't recommend going with a large party. We had a table of 10, pre-booked, the main course took an hour to arrive and was server up so slowly that the some of us had finished before others had even started. When we politely asked when the food would arrive the chef seemed a bit stressed an was a bit abusive.
