Still closed. The building is now part of a hotel. Shame - When it was open it was my favourite pub in Barking

What a crying shame. Moved away from the area some years ago, but this was one of my favourite places for a proper pint and occasional entertainment. What a busy place it used to be it should have been capable of staying in business. The drinkers in the area have probably dwindled owing to oldies dying out religious issues with incomers.

Ishould add that this Pub should have a plaque to record the History that many of the groups that made it World wide played there

This Pub in the sixties had well know groups playing there like Chris Farlow,The Who,Long John Baldrey, The Downliner Set .Zoot Money and many more. The Landlord at the time was a guy called Walley.
Every tuesday the bands that made the sixties music scene would play with people all over London attending
