| This pub has had a few names changes over the years.....I first visited in 1977, it was pretty ordinary then. Again visited in 1999 and 2001. It still had little to offer, atmosphere wise. There was a fabulous pub a short walk down the road, The Load of Hay, a Tudor style building, great decor, wonderful atmosphere. Alas, it closed in 2004, and there is housing on the site.
