Still closed and boarded up - along also with Mannings. With the long standing closure of the Bell (Kerrigans) Downtown Hendon (Brent Street) has no pub/bar/drinking establishment. Snarling_Mallard - 20 Jul 2011 22:13 |
Closed down. Put out of it's misery... the smiling landlady has moved 100yds along the street to take over Mannings Lounge. Watch this space! foghorn - 19 Mar 2010 11:43 |
This is the place to be... when you're barred from everywhere else. I'll give it one point for opening. foghorn - 9 May 2008 12:03 |
This pub has had a few names changes over the years.....I first visited in 1977, it was pretty ordinary then. Again visited in 1999 and 2001. It still had little to offer, atmosphere wise. There was a fabulous pub a short walk down the road, The Load of Hay, a Tudor style building, great decor, wonderful atmosphere. Alas, it closed in 2004, and there is housing on the site. A great shame to lose what should have been a building preserved forever. pauldogs - 3 Aug 2006 15:41 |
