Must be the equivalent of the town's nightclub and didn't really resemble a pub last night. Did spot Butty Bach on draught but the bar was almost impossible to get to through the throng of local Tony Maneros. The Indian restaurant next door is worth a visit and it was the live music that we could hear whilst eating there that drew us through the internal connecting doors into a scene that I thought had disappeared in the UK by the 1990s. Or maybe I don't get out enough. paul_d102 - 27 Jan 2019 18:45 |
Noisy pub on Abergavenny's main street. Festive ales on draught were Rosey Nosey and Rockin' Rudolph. Five different Gwynt y Ddraig bottled ciders were also available. We nearly booked this place to stay the night, but given the volume of the music, I was glad we didn't. blue_scrumpy - 22 Dec 2008 19:28 |
Great pub although very small. Prime town centre location serving overpriced beer for the area but the food is always of a high standard. Small selection of rooms above the bar ata reasonable price too. dr_of_the_all_dayer - 22 Jan 2008 14:00 |
I stayed in here at the weekend and was totally bowled over by the place. The atmosphere was relaxed, the food was amazing, the location was spot on and the staff were both welcoming and efficient. Fantastic. WalthamstowBlade - 29 May 2007 13:33 |
Pretty average market pub. Jimbo Smith - 7 May 2004 22:15 |
