The Temple Bar is situated in a nice village close to the Welsh border. We had timed our visit to be just before the pub was due to close for the afternoon, as the other pub didn't open until 3pm. But there were plenty of drinkers in and it didn't look like it was going to close any time soon. The selection of 4 ales was unusual, apart from the staple Wye Valley Butty Bach. Guests were Bespoke Saved By The Bell & Tudor Blorenge Golden Ale. It was a bottle of the local Gwatkin Original Blend for me. One local decided to chat to us on his way out, his beer belly hanging out from underneath his shirt. "If the mattress gives way, I'll send you the spring" was his valued comment. Couldn't see any food here. But it was well after lunch time. There is a small fish and chip shop opposite.

As said below, seems to have been recently refurbished. Friendly management and good food without feeling too Gastro. Seemed popular with both local drinkers and folk exploring the beautiful surrounding Golden Valley.
A free-house with two or three local Herefordshire or Welsh ales on draught. I've been twice and on both occasions those I tried were in good condition.
Great place for both drinkers and diners.

Refurbished a few years ago by a local family, this is a welcoming and friendly pub selling lovely coffes and home made cakes, as well as real ales and tasty bar meals. Good for a game of darts and pool too.

All change at this place, with a village family now owning it and having extensive building works done.

Big change at this pub, only one ale on tap and was undrinkable, the landlord was very rude, i left, wont be going there again.
