Nice and cosy backstreet pub in Bushey which was fairly busy on our Saturday evening visit. There is just one single, small room. But, it was somehow managing to show both live football and rugby without detracting from the atmosphere of a traditional pub. The clientele and the barmaid were all friendly. 4 ales are served - Young's Bitter, Greene King Abbot, Black Sheep Best Bitter & Timothy Taylor Landlord. We sample three of them. My preference was the Black Sheep. I quite liked this place.

Traditional pub - ale was okay as opposed to good.

Excellent pub that has managed to avoid being modernised,gasto-sised or selling its soul. Small but perfectly formed with plenty of reading material and board games available. The DoomBar was perfect, I took another just to be sure. Youngs and Landlord available. For the non-beer drinkers there was a very decent selection of whiskeys on offer. The customers were friendly and engaging. I must mention the Toasted sandwiches - at only £1.20 each.
I heartily recommend a visit. Sky sports on screen and a quiz night was being advertised for Tuesday night. A real good old fashioned pub

Visited this small back street boozer on a Saturday evening, and found it to be very lively and busy. Three real ales were available (Youngs Ordinary, Landlord and one other - Pride perhaps), and my three pints of Youngs arrived in excellent condition and had clearly been kept by a landlady who knew her stuff. Like any good local the clientele were a good mix, and there was a pleasant friendly atmosphere. For those of you who like a traditional local the Swan is a gem.

Was unaware this little gem existed until I spotted in in the CAMRA guide. Everything a corner local (although it isn't actually on a corner) should be. A warm welcome - from a lovely coal fire and the friendly locals...and a sizzling offering of sausage baps (ooh er) from the cheery landlady. Well kept Timothy Taylor and Youngs bitter means that I'll be back...and impressing my friends with my local knowledge. Cracking.
