user reviews of the Queens Head, Beddington Corner

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Acquired and reopened last Thursday. Spitfire will be available in weeks to come. No food.

The interior has not been 'stripped' per a previous reviewer, but the two external doors have suffered some damage and been replaced, hopefully temporarily, with modern timber stand-ins.

Interesting plasterwork ceiling to main bar of probably Edwardian date, indicates possible previous use as a meeting or other function room before an interior wall or partition was taken down to make it open plan.

Can't vouch for the drinks as I had a diet Coke (my visit was at 3 o'clock in the afternoon and I was driving) but the service was friendly and the glass was sparkling clean.

Good luck to the new publican.

Great location overlooking river, rather a rowdy lot in there! lets say yuppies wouldn't go down well! It's a drinkers pub, would help if they cleaned it up a bit, that includes the pipes, can get a bit dodgy at weekends(quite a few blue flashing lights), regulars are great charitars (almost out of a modern day dickins novel)
Loads of potential, just needs the right person to run it and stay for longer than the last 10!!!!!!
