What a nasty pub. It's a Hungry Horse, food is vile - loads of kids running up and down - tables are dirty - visit at your own peril!!!

Nice pub, you get good food portions for a good price and it's delicious, they also do very yummy pudding. You do occasionally get families who let their kids run about and scream, but it is a family pub, so I don't expect there's much can be done about that.

I used to live less than a minutes walk from here; hardly went in before it was taken over by Hungry Horse, but my God do I miss the old place! Huge, Souless, cheap pub with bad food.

Don't bother..... This used to be a nice pub before taken over by the "Hungry Horse" chain. Apart from the fact that the Guinness was poor and the Wine was poured from two different white wine bottles the food was a huge let down. I know it's not the most expensive food going but it should be hot and edible.
Unfortunate that this is a poor area for pubs but if you are thirsty then walk about half a mile towards chingford green and use the kings head which is slightly better.

Bit of a dive. Tables in the dining area were filthy and the menus extremely sticky on both of my visits. Ask the staff to clean them and they flick a filthy rag across them to no effect.
