just started using this place, and to be fair it has impressed me so far, the beer is cheap (1.30 for smiths) and when i made the switch to the top shelf it was equally as good , great standards in the bar and a nice courtyard for us smokers, although the gents could do with a bit of attention (a lick of paint maybe) being able to watch a couple of different sports at once, was a welcome distraction. definatly a must if your a sports fan, and heres to hoping the weekend nights are a good show to

This pub has recently been taken over by a large pub chain and re-decorated. The name of the pub has also changed to 'Last Orders'. The live music has been stopped but they still have the large screen and several other TVs showing Sky Sports.

The beer is very cheap - ONE POUND SIXTY for a pint of Carling and even cheaper for bitter.

A brilliant pub and music venue, friendly staff and live music almost every night. Real Ales will be arriving soon and they hope to build strong links with Camra and other real beverage organisations. The music presented varies from blues to rock and also punk and dance music, a really mixture! The also have a really succesful acoustic night on a Tuesday evening for only 1 entry, so grab your guitar and come to The Talbot- The Home of Live Music!

If you like the live bands and grunge atmosphere then this is for you. If not, avoid it like the plague that probably lives inside it. The beer's not bad, and they serve Boddingtons which is a rarity in Stoke. It's got a pool table, but someone's nicked the ball, so it's not much use at the moment.
