This pub is shut and evidently has been for some time! Don't plan a country walk around it, you'll be disappointed.

The old school pub was taken over by Ian and Rose in December 03. I don'nt know where youre comment from "tommy" came from but he must have been on another planet. Ian and rose have turned the pub into a great place with good food and fabulous staff. the bar is well stocked and serves grreat real ale. Ian is a great landlord and he would never treat people in the way that "tommy" describes. Try the pub for yourself and have a good time.

Excellent, friendly pub with a wide range of local ales as well as what you would normally expect. Wonderful menu with local produce and friendly staff and owners make everyone feel welcome. Friday normally has live music of some sort and fun karaoke on some saturday evenings. Nice beer garden outside as well which has the sun all day long. Definitely recommend to all ages and all tastes!

Disappointing. You'd think a pub in a touristy area of Cornwall would welcome the odd visitor, but apparently not the Old School. The landlord was rude to us all evening.

The final straw was when he REFUSED to serve one of our a crowd a pint of water - we must have spent close to 100 between us in there that night (we had eaten in there earlier), he then complains about not making any money.
