I went here about three months ago and it is the reason I have signed up to this review website because I was so shocked by the service I received I wanted to find out if I was the only one! I ordered a dish which should have been three separate wraps instead all 3, chicken, mince (chilli) and veg were under one wrap and the mince which taste disgusting had spread over the chicken and veg. Had it have been what it described on the menu which was three separate wraps I would have been able to remove the mince wrap and attempt to eat the other two regardless of the lump of hard chewy cheese (and I do mean massive lump) covering the top of the whole thing! However it was just the one wrap I could tell this by lightly lifting the top. When the waiter finally appeared I told him the issue and he began to clean the table next to ours, when he finally responded he told me it was three separate wraps I told him it was not so he lifted the top up to have a look at the whole thing all mashed together. He then took the plate to his boss. This man is in a league of his own for rudeness! I can not believe the place is still open with him running it! He told me I had lied and infact remove the parts of the wrap that was separating them under the cheese and that I had mashed it all together while eating it (I had only had one corner of the giant wrap at which point I tasted the mince and stop eating for fear of throwing up!) He then spent the next 5 minutes confirming that he was correct and that it had been served as three separate wraps and that I should remove the mince one before I mixed it all together!! And that I should have called over a waiter to ask him to remove the mince one!! I then asked him if he had ever ordered the dish himself and his response was "I don't need to order it I know what it is and I know how my chefs will have prepared it"so I asked him to order exactly the same dish right now and see how it came to him and then taste it and then he will truly know what they are throwing out of the kitchen - but I expect that he doesn't eat there which I think says a lot about the place - what sort of restaurant manager hasn't tried there own dishes? Anyway when I told him to order it himself and not call me a liar he said whatever I have taken it off your bill ok! I replied that I had not asked him to do so all I have done was explain to the waiter and him that the dish was not as it was described, and that the mince was covering everything so I couldn't eat any of it because the mince actually was inedible! At this he had already wandered off. He then took about 15 mins to put the bill through while him and the three waiters all stood in the corner at the back of the restaurant talking and starring at us. I have never felt quite so uncomfortable. My friend ordered a chicken salad which should have come in a crispy taco shell instead it was a chewy (tasted like cardboard) taco shell with a lump of wet lettuce and brown sloppy strips of chicken. She just wanted to leave so we didn't even mention about this dish we just wanted to get out of there. This is the worst experience I have ever had eating out and I would never ever go there again unless it was because I got a job with Environmental Health and I was going there to close it down!

Not sure about the old comments on here, they seem out of date. This is an amazing restaurant/bar. Definitely the best mex food in London. Never been at the weekend where I hear it is popular with students which might mean it gets rowdy and busy. I went for my birthday in 2009 and had the best night - so did all my friends. I would deffo go again. The food was spot on. Not at all what I expected from "Tex-Mex", which doesn't do it justice. The cocktails were also the best I've ever tasted. Forget the rubbish Margeritas that you get normally, these were hand made fresh and tasted like HEAVEN!! ... We went on a weeknight and had the best time. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for a classy quality night out with a date, family or friends. Avoid the weekends if you want a quiet time. I even saw MP Claire Short in there on a Monday!! ... so it must be good!!

Fairly fun, but the food is pretty mediocre, and it isn't hard or expensive to do Mexican food well.

Used to be a bar that I went to often due to its late opening hours and ease of getting in. However over the past year I have not bee there much until recently when a friend who visits about once or twice a year came to stay and who often enjoys a good finish to our night in Sols. However this was to be spoiled by a rude South African bouncer who said 'no just lads groups (there were 4 of us) and that the bar was too full' A ssomeone who goes to this place reguarly I could see it was only half full. On asking him again to enter, he was rude so we just walked off, found an almost identical bar nearby and had a good night. Clearly Sols won't be needing my custom in the future despite the pending recession and I can certainly say they will not be getting it either along with my three friends.

My favourite tex mex in London (even though the quality of the food has seriously deteriorated over the years). Good for Chimichanga's, Enchilada's or Fajita's. Stay clear of the Fish - every time we've ordered it we've had to send it back as completely inedible.
