Yes as per the last post the furniture is split on two levels.
The front tables are set for diners but the back have all the comfy arm chairs etc.
In here last Saturday around 2.00pm and there are just two others present.
A very pleasant barmaid serves me a pint of Old Golden Hen for £3.10 which is well kept.
I try a pint of the St Edmunds next for £3.20. also very nice.
They also have Woodfords Werry and Greene King XXX mild on their total of 4 hand pulls.
Some piped music is playing in the background.
Unlike the Six Bells this place stays open all afternoon.

Comfortable open plan pub that manages to retain a sense of its separate areas. Armchairs/sofas at one end were joyous after a brisk country walk. Adnams Southwold beautifully bright and Aspalls Harry Sparrow was welcome too. Seemed a relaxed and friendly place.

Single room pub with a pool table, dartboard, bar billiards and jukebox at one end. Signs indicate that the pub has recently changed hands. A good selection of beers was available - Bartrams Bees Knees, Milestone Auld Ale and Adnams Bitter. A Hogans cider pump looked promising. But alas this was not available. As with nearly all Suffolk pubs, only Aspalls is available. Still a reasonably good pub. Although the number of children running around inside was again a little annoying.
