user reviews of the Bell Inn, Kennett

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Very disappointed considering this has just re-opened after being closed for some time.
Children not made to feel welcome and although we had booked in advance, were not told that ther was no childrens menu or any attempt to accomodate them except half portions were available of the 4 ( yes thats right FOUR)
choices of main meal.
Children portion of Toad in Hole was eventally ordered after being told there was none left! (it can be made in 20 mins and we waited a lot longer than that) when it arrived it consisted on one sausage and one yorkshire pudding, hardly toad in the hole!! This was then charged at 13.99 per child.
Total bill for 4 adults (2 courses each) and 4 children plus drinks (2 wine, 3 soft drink and others were only water) was 161.00

Needless to say, we cannot possibly recommend this in our area or ever consider returning, but expect they will survive on passing trade who after all, will only go once

When I was stationed in the UK (1989-1992)at RAF Lakenheath I lived in Kennett and spent many hours at the Bell Inn. The Bell was a great place and I became friends with many people in the village. The food was great and when my parents came to visit the staff treated them wounderfully. I realize many years have passed but I've never forgotted the wounderfull times and great people I met there. My name is Dave Thomas and if you remember me or would like to talk about the Bell Pub contact me at [email protected] Thanks.
