Overlooking the harbour is this St Austell Brewery pub with benches to the front to watch the world go by.

An imposing looking stone building, inside there's a flagstone floor and wooden beams. The long wooden bar has the usual lager and Guinness on offer plus 3 ales from St Austell Brewery, I opted for a pint of Trelawney which was drinkable.

Half full on our visit with most punters taking their drinks and sitting out the front, kids and dogs welcome.

A nice enough pub but we spent most of our time outside so my report on the interior is pretty non existent.

7/10 from me

Spent last week living opposite this pub, had a very good selection of ales and the excellent Korvin cornish lager so popped in several times. Didn't try the food on offer myself, but always looked ok. was always busy but they also have succumbed to the terrible new phenomenon of reserving tables for people who cannot be bothered to just go to a pub, wait for a table to become available and sit down, the way we have been doing it for centuries. We where even turfed off of the table we were sitting at mid pint, as it had been reserved - very poor show.

Good selection of well kept ales. It was very busy out front but there was plenty of room in the beer garden at the back. Food OK, staff friendly. Recommended
