| I'm sure this imposing and attractive pub used to be owned by Hall & Woodhouse but now advertises itself as a Freehouse. Five ales were on offer: London Pride (yawn), 2 from Green King (yawn), I from Wadworth (yawn) and Navigation Britannia which was my choice and turned out to be another boring 'best bitter' This does seem to be very common - a choice of several beers which are all the same. Suggest they contact their nearest brewery (Sunny Republic) and get something a bit more interesting. | Popped in for a few beers and food last week. Friendly staff, good Badgers beer, and decent food (ie consistent with other pub food, but nothing exceptional). Would happily recommend for an evening out in Wool. Oktup - 31 May 2011 15:44 |
| what a great pub...our first visit was a sunday evening when all the staff were on a christmas jolly,but the chap who was looking after the place was top notch,the tanglefoot was really good....our second visit a few days later and it was just as good,the food is pretty good aswell. honestlee - 28 May 2011 20:50 |
