| Been in this pub a handful of times - tends to be smelly, smokey and not very friendly at all. I know Weatherspoons are meant to be more of the budget-type pubs but this is a let down. Jo984 - 28 Sep 2006 15:37 |
| The Standard Bearer was the last pub to receive its licence in 1999. It could have been a good family pub in an area of east London which badly needs one !. However, with indifferent service from the staff and poor levels of hygiene not to Mention the odd visit from the police the pub has never been run as it should have been. The cheep beer prices attracted to much of the local "pond life" which should have been turned away by the manager. This pub will be missed by the locals who supported the Standard Bearer but where put off by the ever Decreasing standards mentioned above. Sidereal - 11 Sep 2006 13:42 |
