Being redeveloped as a refuge for ex alcoholics amongst others...oh the irony.

6.20 for a Guinness and a bottle of Holsten Pils served by disinterested staff. Located in a run down industrial wasteland, about a mile from the city centre. No real ales. Band playing Beatles instumentals in Ska style. Neds attracted by said band. Someone thrown out to prevent a fight starting. Gang of layabouts skulking around furtively in the dark outside. Customers driving cars away from pub with no silencer on exhaust. What more could you want from a pub?

Ah! the Adam and Eve............
Has always a had a reputation for being a late night drinking sleaze pit for the waifs and strays who like a bit of live music, illegal substances and vast amounts of alcohol. Anyone of a certain age who hasn`t fallen out the door in the early hours to the dawn chorus doesn`t deserve the Blue Peter badge - wimps!
Well I`m glad to report that the place hasn`t changed much (except for the illegal substances bit of course) expensive beer, low lighting, bands who sound better after...50 pints...it`s an institution.
