Popped in for a pint. When I went to buy second pint was totally ignored whilst the barman served 3 people who were LOCALS.
I SHOULD HAVE READ REVIEWS.

So if you don't live in Bean forget it

Well I must start by saying after reading the comments about this pub I wasn't sure about paying it a visit, the last time I went in the pub was when there were animals in the garden. but when I went past it had boards saying kitchen new management, also i am sure it has new owners too. Me and my family thought we would give it a go as we were looking for somewhere to have Sunday lunch, and my god it certainly DID NOT disappoint. We sat in the restaurant at the rear of the pub overlooking the garden what a lovely well presented restaurant it was who ever has taken it over has certainly done a good job of it. But the most important thing and I saved the best till last......the food was out of this world and very well presented, all home cooked it was LOVELY our plates were empty! So it just goes to show you can turn a place around and they have defiantly done that I will be recommending it to all of my friends.

Been to this pub once and that was certainly enough...what a dump! It was a nice day so we sat outside....even if the weather had been dismal we probably would have sat outside anyway due to the unfriendliness of the locals. Stayed for one drink and couldn't wait to get away. Complete dive - stay well clear.

My wife and her friends popped in to watch the rugby on a Sunday afternoon, thus prompting the single post unpleasant pub experience theyve ever had (Ive had worse but then Ive been to a lot of bad pubs not to mention the last time I was in this one). The barman was inept and a coward, the lager was warm and possibly infected and the clientele were boorish, idiotic and quite openly racist.
Two of our friends happen to be not Eng-er-lish and were quickly reminded of the fact. I quote Fuck off back to where you came from, Dont you have TV where youre from? Why are you in here anyway? The TV was then unceremoniously and confrontationally switched off. My wife and her friends wisely made the decision to Fuck off back to where they came from Longfield. How ridiculous of them to think about going to a pub to have a couple of pints and watch sport. How very un-English.
