Quite a large pub with floorboards and a general woody feel to it. Cheap food on the menu. Only had Masterbrew on tap, which I am not a fan of. Had a dry fizzy cider called Somersby aswell

I was attracted to the architecture of the building, it is very attractive. I was pleased that traditional local cider Old Rosie was available, something I never heard of. I would like to go back to try some other traditional drinks. I would like it if more pubs sold soft drinks like teas and coffees, and am not sure they do that here. I wasn't aware of any local bar snacks, other than the mainstream crisps. I didn't see the pub stock any local crisps such as Kent Crisps. It was quite old and dark which was quite cosy. It would be nice to have a wall with some books to have a look at or some newspapers. Maybe there were some but I couldn't remember seeing any. It had a very masculine feel, which was slightly uncomfortable. It is not the sort of place a woman would want to go on her own. I would definitely go back to try out more local ciders.

Seems to be very much aimed at the 1 a shot student brigade. Left the majority of my pint as I'm not a fan of drinking vinegar.

I love this pub! for one.. it sells sailor jerry's rum... the best drink, found in only the coolest bars/pubs! and then there's the good student/local atmosphere.. attractive staff.. and the landlord.. what can i say? a legend...!

This is one of the finest pubs around Canterbury! It is mainly a student pub with many of the Canterbury Christ Church Univerity within close staggering distance.

The pub landlord is a fantastic bloke and all the bar staff are brilliant - prices are good, beers are good with Master Brew and Speckled Hen on pump. The lager on offer includes Fosters, Stella and 1664 and just recently they've added Bulmers Cider on tap through a super chiller, so you dont need the ton of ice in the glass!

They have many offers like Sailor Jerry and Coke for 1.95 but this changes from time to time. The sailor also holds loads of themed parties, sporting events and you can catch the main games on the flat screen TV's and projected image in the back room!!!

Fantastic pub, fantasic drinks, great prices and brilliant staff! You cant go wrong here!
