Closed and probably going to be converted into flats. Shame but nobody wanted it even though it was on the market as a pub for months.

This pub is currently closed and up for lease after the council turned down an application for strippers/lap dancers/late night drinking and other such debauchery!!

Not impressed with new look. You can never tell when it's going to be open and always quiet. Entry policy uncertain and pretty much ad hoc. Sometimes a sports top is not allowed, next day it's full of them. No consistency with their policy.

Why bother with the walk if uncertain it will be open or you will be allowed in.

Don't see how they will get away with live music and club nights. Previous landlords got in a lot of trouble with the council when they did it owing to complaints from the neighbours.

Refurbed and re-opened. London Pride and GK IPA on which were well kept when I sampled the other day. The front area has been spruced up and is more of a diner/bar area. Apparently there are plans for live music/club nights downstairs.

An improvement, let's see how it progresses.

A bit of an embarrassment to the name really. Three hand pumps but only London Pride on which was OK. Almost totally empty on a Friday night although that could be due to Reading playing at home and there being no Sky Sports. Further bar at the back with three pool tables.
