Now called the Dark Horse. Nice pub with excellent food - the cod & chips was superb, if a little pricey.Good local ales(Goddard's Fuggle-De-Dum & Island Nipper) and you can meet Bill & Ben on the way to the toilets.

Superb pub. Superb bar staff superb beer and clean.

Well worth a visit for a drink or a meal, but gets very busy for food trade so book. the owners are fantastic. WELL DONE

Now owned by the couple who used to run the White Horse at Whitwell on the island, and it's just as good. The pubb retains the character it had previously. Had a good pint of Abbot and Fuggle-De-Dum (local brew), as well as Ruddles Best but didn't try that. Also had a tip top meal. All in all highly recommended and will be back soon.

Thankfully recently re-opened. Now called the Dark Horse. A major save from greedy developers. Will definitely visit in a few weeks time. Use it or lose it, as the saying goes.

This pub is no more.
It is deceased.
Gone to that pub heaven in the sky.
(apologies to Monty Python)
